The doctors operate a same-day and advance booking appointment/visit booking service between
8.30-12.00pm and 14.30 pm-18.00 pm each day. However, some lunchtime appointments may be
made in advance, unless a doctor is away and then there will be no prebooking of appointments.
Appointments with the Nurse are always made in advance.

HOME VISITS
IF YOU FEEL THAT THE PROBLEM IS TOO URGENT TO WAIT FOR A DOCTOR TO CALL PLEASE
TELEPHONE 999 AND ASK FOR AN AMBULANCE.
Home visits are only for those patients who are too ill to attend the surgery. Help us to help you by only
requesting home visits in these circumstances. Please tell us before 10.00am whenever possible.
The decision as to the need for a home visit rests with the doctor.
When medical problems occur outside of surgery opening times we ask you to phone  to make an
appointment at the surgery on during the week days .

This telephone help line is staffed by specially trained nurses who can give you immediate information
and friendly helpful advice on what to do and what not to do. It is a 24-hour service and completely
confidential. They also have information on local dentists and pharmacists.

Where you may be given advice , referred to hospital by ambulance , given an appointment to attend
and to be seen at the centre or doctor may visit you at home if it is indicated.

Telephone advice: The Doctor or the practice nurse can give the tel. advice: please ring after 11 am
when the phone lines are less busy or leave the message and we will ring you back.

Results of the tests: The receptionist or the practice nurse can give the results of tests to you: please
ring after 1pm when the phone lines are less busy. Between 12.00 pm -14 00pm

Practice nurse
Our nursing sisters work in the treatment room. Typical matters they deal with are immunisations,
holiday vaccinations, , dressings, cervical smears and  health promotion clinics. They are also
available for consultation and advice in health related matters.
